Opera earlier announced the launch of a new web browser called "Opera Air", which features a minimalist design and a transparent interface. It claims to be designed with mindfulness as its core, and also adds functions such as relaxation, focus, and rest.
Among them, the rest function provides four options: breathing, neck exercise, meditation and full body scan. Breathing and meditation mainly maintain calmness by reducing stress, while neck exercise focuses on relaxing sore neck muscles. As for the full body scan, it focuses on various parts of the body. The shortest corresponding time of the rest function is 3 minutes, and the longest can be up to 15 minutes.
Opera Air also incorporates a binaural beat function that generates different audio frequencies for the left and right ears, creating the illusion of a third audio frequency in the brain. This allows users to focus more easily, improve creativity, or relax.
Opera's senior product director, Mohamed Salah, said that since the internet is currently flooded with all kinds of content that causes users to have distracting thoughts and become nervous, he hopes to use scientific methods to help users maintain mindfulness and calm their mood through the browser.
