Following its initial release for download in the US market, where it accumulated over 100 million downloads in 5 days, and its subsequent expansion into Asian markets including Taiwan, OpenAI's AI video creation tool...SoraIt is now officially compatible with the Android platform and can be accessed via...Google Play StoreDownload and install.
The launch of the Android platform version signifies that OpenAI will leverage the Android platform to expand its user base and promote the development of more diverse AI-generated content.
However, Sora is now facing greater criticism, including concerns that AI-generated video content could have a greater impact and even lead to an overabundance of AI content. Other concerns include users using Sora to create fake videos featuring celebrities, and the large number of anime character videos generated has even drawn protests from the Japanese government.
On the other hand, OpenAI recently added a new feature called "cameo" to Sora, which allows users to embed existing portraits into Sora to generate AI videos. This feature is currently facing competition from celebrity video platform Cameo.Accused of trademark infringementOpenAI responded that it does not believe the term "Cameo" can be monopolized.
In response to the lawsuit, an OpenAI spokesperson stated that the company is reviewing the complaint but "does not agree that anyone can claim exclusive ownership of the term 'cameo'."
