Recently announced the official launchNew Office 2016 and Office 2016, Office 2016 for MacAfterwards, Microsoft quickly introduced this new word processing software suite in Taiwan, introducing the new Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and OneNote integrated with the network platform. It is widely used across different cross-hardware devices, allowing all users to share and co-edit documents in a cross-platform manner, making work productivity more significant through collaborative working mode.
According to Microsoft Taiwan, surveys show that Taiwan ranks at a disadvantage in enterprise productivity when it comes to anytime, anywhere collaboration, and also lags significantly behind other global companies in the application of big data analysis. This is primarily due to the fact that many Taiwanese companies' productivity is still concentrated in fixed office environments, which in turn impacts overall competitiveness. Therefore, Microsoft has introduced a large number of features such as online collaboration and cross-device applications in the new Office 2016. By integrating Microsoft resources such as Bing Search and Azure cloud services, this creates a more efficient office application environment, thereby improving overall enterprise productivity and competitiveness. Continuous updates ensure that Office features are always up to date.
Assist enterprises and individuals to improve work productivity
Compared to traditional offline office environments, Microsoft Office has continued to emphasize online collaborative applications in recent years. In addition to launching Office 365, which is continuously updated through monthly subscriptions, and further updating the online version of Office services, it also recently launched an updated version of Office 2016 for users who need stand-alone operation, as well as Office 2016 for Mac for Apple computer products.
As for mobile device applications, Microsoft has further opened up iOS, Android and Windows Phone platform users to more in-depth use of Office services. Through the network platform, users of different hardware devices can jointly edit the same document content through the cloud platform, allowing multiple users to complete various tasks in a more efficient manner through collaborative work.
In addition, the new version of Office integrates Skype services to facilitate collaborative communication. It also utilizes Bing Search, real-time data analysis, and other technical resources to make document management and distribution more efficient. For example, the new version of Outlook can automatically compile a list of participants for a single meeting based on incoming and outgoing emails, and organize related reference documents, making it easier to convene meetings. The newly integrated Sway service also helps users quickly create and format document content through data sharing.
The operating interface is more unified and safer
In this updated version, Microsoft further reduces editing differences across hardware devices and makes the overall interface more unified, avoiding user confusion between Windows, OS X, or other platform versions. Furthermore, the new version is further integrated with Windows 10 and emphasizes an enhanced touch experience, allowing users to easily edit documents on devices under 10 inches, while also experiencing the same operating mode as the PC version through the Windows Continuum design.
For enterprise applications, the new Office 2016 version incorporates DLP (Data Loss Prevention) in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, mitigating the risk of online document sharing and enabling IT to more efficiently manage internal shared documents. Multifactor authentication also ensures high security when users access information outside the corporate network.
Clarifying differences between Office versions
Currently, users of Office 365, which is available through a monthly subscription, can obtain Office 2016 updates through updates. For users who have additional installation and usage needs, Microsoft's launch of Office 2016 also includes a corresponding Mac platform version, which can be used in more than 40 languages around the world and is compatible with Windows 7 and above or OS X operating systems.
In terms of suggested retail prices, Office 2016 and Office 2016 for Mac will start at 4790 yuan for the home version, while Office 365 Personal will start at 219 yuan per month (or 2190 yuan for a one-year subscription).
In addition, Microsoft Taiwan also clarified again the differences in the various versions of Office services currently provided. Among them, Office 365 is mainly provided on a subscription basis. Users can subscribe at different prices based on personal or home use needs. For devices under 10 inches, it provides basic modification and file opening functions, while devices over 10 inches only provide file opening functions. If users need to use file editing functions, they must pay extra to purchase the official version of Office or the Office 365 function.
