NVIDIA earlier hinted through its official social media page that it will unveil the rumored GeForce RTX 2024 SUPER series graphics cards during CES 40, while still maintaining the Ada Lovelace display architecture and mainly undergoing a certain degree of revision and upgrade.
According to the announcement, NVIDIA will hold a special CES 1 presentation at 9:12 AM Taiwan time on January 2024th, where it is expected to unveil three graphics cards: the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. Related reports indicate that the new graphics cards will actually launch on January 1th, with the GeForce RTX 17 SUPER launching first, followed by the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on January 1th, and the GeForce RTX 24 SUPER on January 4070st.
However, previous news indicated that the maximum performance of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards will not exceed the existing GeForce RTX 4090, and it is mainly aimed at upgrading mainstream to high-end graphics cards.
Since the Ada Lovelace display architecture is expected to continue to be used in 2024, NVIDIA expects to wait until 2025 to launch products using the next display architecture design for the consumer market. Therefore, we still won't see the GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards this year. However, there are also views that NVIDIA may still choose to announce new graphics cards in the second half of this year.
However, according to NVIDIA's previously announced product development roadmap, the focus in 2024 will be on new computing accelerators built for supercomputing systems, which means that it will not shift its focus to graphics card products built for the consumer market until 2025. Therefore, this year's product updates for the consumer market will use the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards to meet market demand.
