NVIDIA has announced several major updates to its cloud-based streaming gaming service, GeForce NOW. The new updates not only significantly boost the streaming frame rate of virtual reality (VR) to 90fps, but also improve the application interface by adding "in-app labels" similar to those of Microsoft Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+, allowing players to more intuitively discover and play their subscribed game lineup.
Solving cross-platform pain points: Clear and concise subscription tags and account binding
For players with numerous game subscriptions, remembering which game belongs to which platform can be confusing.
To simplify this process, the upcoming GeForce NOW app update will introduce new "in-app labels." When players link their Xbox or Ubisoft+ accounts, clear, dedicated labels will appear directly on the GeForce NOW game screens, meaning players will no longer need to guess or repeatedly switch windows to confirm. They can immediately see which games are available for free through their existing subscription service, achieving true "seamless integration."
In addition to interface optimization, support for account binding continues to expand. Following the announcement at CES 2026 that it would support single login with Gaijin game accounts, NVIDIA has announced that it will add support for GOG account binding and game library synchronization in the coming months, further integrating players' digital assets.
Cloud-based VR experience evolves again: 90fps delivers ultimate smoothness
Virtual reality has extremely high requirements for latency and frame rate, and NVIDIA has now taken the cloud VR experience to a new level.
Starting March 19, the streaming frame rate of VR devices supported by GeForce NOW (including Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest series) will be significantly increased from 60fps to 90fps (but only available with the Ultimate Platinum subscription plan).
This upgrade not only effectively reduces 3D motion sickness for VR experiences with its higher frame rate, but also significantly improves screen smoothness, response speed, and immersion, allowing players to have a near-native console computing experience, whether chasing enemies in neon-lit streets or exploring distant alien worlds.
The lineup of AAA games continues to expand: *Control Resonant* launches first.
In terms of game lineup, GeForce NOW's "Install-to-Play" feature will add more select Xbox games, such as Double Fine Productions' Brütal Legend and Compulsion Games' Contrast, allowing players to enjoy the convenience of streaming while also maintaining the flexibility of downloading and installing.
Even more exciting is that several highly anticipated, yet-to-be-released AAA games are confirmed to be available on the GeForce NOW cloud platform on launch day:
• CONTROL Resonant:Developed by Remedy Entertainment, this sequel to the supernatural action-adventure role-playing game puts players in the role of Dylan Faden, the younger brother of the original protagonist, as he battles in a Manhattan ravaged by a distorted reality and cosmic threats.
• "Samson: A Tyndalston Story":A hardcore action-fighting game developed by Liquid Swords, set in the mythical city of Tyndalston.
In addition, NVIDIA also announced the addition of cloud testing capabilities to the GeForce NOW cloud platform, allowing game developers to test game content through the GeForce NOW cloud platform, such as for internal testing, external testing, or even for media testing, and supporting game screen recording, use of controllers and video cameras, etc.
