Due to the impact of the epidemic in the past few years, the GTC conference, which was previously held in the spring, was adjusted to an online format. However, as the epidemic gradually eased and countries began to resume business and tourism activities, NVIDIA finally announced that GTC 2024, which is scheduled to be held next year, will be presented as a physical event.
The date is confirmed to be March 2024-3, 18, and the venue is confirmed to return to the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, USA.
If nothing unexpected happens, GTC 2024 will focus on the next generation of artificial intelligence and supercomputing accelerators, namely the successor to the H100 GPU code-named "Hopper". It is also expected to reveal details of the successor to the CPU code-named "Grace" and may announce a new Superchip combination.
NVIDIA has yet to announce the name of its next accelerator, referring only to it as "Hopper Next." While there are market rumors suggesting "Blackwell" will be the codename for the next product, it likely refers to a graphics card designed for the consumer market, not an accelerator for supercomputing.
