The "SUPER" video released before Computex 2019 this yearPreview content, it was finally officially unveiled earlier, that is, as the market rumors said, the GeForce RTX SUPER series graphics cards include three enhanced graphics cards: GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, and GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER. Among them, they are still based on the Turing display architecture, and have optimized the GPU design and increased the display memory capacity to further enhance the performance of the graphics card.
AMD is expected to open sales on July 7The new Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700The previous announcement of the new card seemed to be a challenge. Even though the overall price was relatively high, NVIDIA emphasized that it would be able to meet different usage needs at various game display performance levels.
From a product positioning perspective, the GeForce RTX SUPER series can be considered a graphics card specification with the "Ti" moniker. However, having already launched the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, NVIDIA apparently isn't relegating the "Ti" moniker to the 2070 and 2060 graphics cards (though it does offer a Ti-grade version of the GeForce GTX 1660).
In addition to the previously released specifications, the current GeForce RTX series graphics cards will include GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 2080, GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, GeForce RTX 2070, GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER and GeForce RTX 2060, all of which use the Turing display architecture and support Ray Tracing real-time ray tracing technology, DLSS technology, and Adaptive Shading technology.
At the same time, the GeForce RTX SUPER series of graphics cards are also compatible with industry technologies such as Microsoft DirectX and DirectX Raytracing (DXR), as well as technologies including Vulkan, Unreal Engine, Unity, Frostbite, id Tech, Northlight, and 4A Engine. They will also be compatible with virtual reality applications and can even be used in content creation.
Compared to the previously released GeForce RTX series graphics cards, the newly released GeForce RTX SUPER series graphics cards have replaced the central decorative panel of the dual fans with a piano surface material and display the word "SUPER".
The details of the three graphics cards launched this time are as follows:
GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER – Starting at $699, available July 7rd
- Memory transmission efficiency can reach 15.5Gbps
- Faster than the previous TITAN Xp
- Corresponding to 11+11 TOPs (FP32+INT32), and 89 Tensor TFLOPs
GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER – Starting at $499, available July 7rd
- Compared to GeForce RTX 2070, peak performance increased by 24% and average performance increased by 16%.
- Faster than the previously released GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
- Corresponding to 9+9 TOPs (FP32+INT32), and 73 Tensor TFLOPs
GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER – Starting at $399, available July 7rd
- Compared to GeForce RTX 2060, peak performance increased by 22% and average performance increased by 15%.
- Faster than the previously released GeForce GTX 1080
- Equipped with 8GB GDDR6 display memory, 2060GB more memory than the GeForce RTX 2
- Corresponding to 7+7 TOPs (FP32+INT32), and 57 Tensor TFLOPs
For comparison, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, which is still NVIDIA's top-of-the-line consumer graphics card, still starts at $999, while the GeForce RTX 2060 has a suggested retail price starting at $349.
To coincide with the initial launch, NVIDIA will also be offering a bundle deal with Control and Wolfenstein: Youngblood for the new graphics card, expected to launch on July 7th. Even the GeForce RTX 9 SUPER, scheduled to go on sale on July 7rd, will be available through pre-order.
However, the bundle sales plans provided by different regions may be slightly different. For example, the bundled game in Taiwan does not include "Control", but only "Wolfenstein: Young Blood".
The GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, and GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER graphics cards are expected to be released as customized graphics cards by ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, GALAXY, GIGABYTE, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac, while NVIDIA will still release the Founders Editions reference graphics card design.
