In response to current trends in generative AI and metaverse applications, NVIDIA announced at SIGGRAPH 2023 in Los Angeles, USA, a collaboration with Hugging Face, a platform that allows users to share machine learning models and datasets. The company also announced the launch of NVIDIA AI Enterprise 4.0 and AI Workbench software tools for generative AI applications. Regarding metaverse applications, NVIDIA continues to promote the development of the OpenUSD Alliance and has launched a generative AI service for OpenUSD. It has also partnered with stock image company Shutterstock to create richer 3D imagery through generative AI.
Through this collaboration with Hugging Face, NVIDIA will leverage its DGX Cloud supercomputer hosting service to make it easier for businesses to perform AI training tasks using machine learning models and datasets shared on the Hugging Face platform. This allows businesses to quickly apply trained AI technology to enterprise services, thereby reducing the time and cost required to develop AI applications.
In addition, in response to the increasing demand for automated AI development in enterprises, the updated NVIDIA AI Enterprise 4.0 software tool also integrates many automated AI application resources and can correspond to software services such as servicenow, snowflake, Domino Data Lab, ClearML, and can operate on server environments under Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Oracle.
The AI Workbench software tool can be used with NVIDIA GPU products to create, adjust or deploy various types of automatically generated artificial intelligence technologies, and can transfer production content between devices, data centers or cloud platforms. It is expected to be available to enterprises this fall.
As for the Metaverse application, it was recently announced that it would establish a partnership with Apple, Adobe and other companies.OpenUSD Alliance, promoting the development of 3D content development standards, NVIDIA announced the launch of three automatically generated artificial intelligence tools running on Omniverse Cloud: ChatUSD, which automatically generates Python code to present USD content using text commands; RunUSD, which can convert USD content into interactive real-time ray tracing effects; and DeepSearch, which can search for untagged objects through text. This will simplify the development process and accelerate the popularization of USD content in Omniverse Cloud.
In terms of cooperation with the stock image company Shutterstock, the company is combining its NVIDIA Picasso automatic generation of artificial intelligence vision applications with Shutterstock's DALL·E text generation image technology under OpenAI.Shutterstock.AI ServicesCombined with the 360-degree surround image generation technology, it simplifies the difficulty of generating high dynamic range imaging (HDRi), allowing creators to produce more beautiful 3D scenes more quickly, which can then be used in games, videos, movies and other content.
Through generative artificial intelligence technology, NVIDIA expects to accelerate the development of a new generation of imaging content creation applications.
