Nutanix announced that it has helped Taiwan's Mirco Group select its services to replace its traditional three-tier architecture with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure. The company is leveraging the Nutanix cloud platform to modernize its data center and continue its transformation towards a more automated and sustainable manufacturing environment.
, while also increasing the flexibility of future transition to a hybrid multi-cloud environment.
Founded in 1989, Mirlia is a global automation system integration company that excels at integrating automation systems such as robotic arms, automatic warehousing systems, material handling equipment, and assisting corporate customers in transforming into smart factories.
As the group's business continues to expand and its R&D capabilities increase, it needs a data center that can be continuously upgraded and maintain high efficiency to cope with the massive amount of data accumulated in the three-tier infrastructure.
Therefore, Nutanix technology helped Menle modernize its existing infrastructure and significantly improve the efficiency of deploying virtual machines. The time from application to completion of virtual machine resources has been reduced from 48 to 72 hours in the past to just 1 to 2 hours now, accelerating the pace of helping customers build smart factories.
At the same time, Menlo can also implement a visual management mechanism to help personnel easily understand the equipment operation status of all factories and IT departments, thereby enhancing the continuity of business operations.
"Using the Nutanix cloud platform to modernize our data center allows us to more flexibly adapt to demand and quickly adjust to support R&D, significantly improving our data collection and analysis capabilities, and significantly boosting our overall operations," said Tsai Yu-tsai, General Manager of the Digital Technology Business Group at Mircosoft.
"This has brought significant benefits to operations and customer service, while also reducing energy consumption. Furthermore, the resources of the Nutanix cloud platform ensure we have sufficient capacity to transition to a hybrid multi-cloud environment if needed in the future, with seamless integration between local and cloud environments and a consistent management experience across multiple clouds."
After adopting Nutanix's hyperconverged infrastructure, Alliance has reduced the space occupied by cabinets in its data center from 20U to 8U, a significant reduction of 60%. This not only reduces energy consumption but also helps to implement energy and carbon reduction.
"Nutanix is driving Mirco's automation development, helping smart factories achieve green transformation and energy conservation and carbon reduction," said Yuanzheng Zhang, Managing Director of Nutanix Greater China. "We will continue to promote digital transformation across various industries, accelerating the realization of business goals for both manufacturing and traditional sectors."
