Nubia recently unveiled the upgraded Red Magic 9S Pro series, based largely on the previously released Red Magic 9 Pro series but with some hardware upgrades. Additionally, Nubia also launched its first gaming laptop under the Red Magic brand, entering the PC market.
The Red Magic 9S Pro series still maintains the general specifications of the Red Magic 9 Pro series, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and the 6.8-inch Q2480+ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1116 x 9. It is also equipped with an under-screen optical fingerprint reader and a 1600-megapixel under-screen video camera. The main camera is also equipped with 5000 million pixels and a Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor, paired with a 5000-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor, plus a 200-megapixel macro lens.
The Red Magic 9S Pro series has been upgraded to adopt the ICE 13.5 cooling system, and has added a Red Magic Cube AI model that can be optimized for games, plus Red Magic's self-developed Red Core R2 Pro processor and Red Magic OS 9.5 operating system interface.
As for the Red Magic laptop launched simultaneously, it uses an aluminum body that is claimed to be manufactured with the same craftsmanship as the MacBook, and is equipped with an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor, with optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070 independent graphics cards. The screen is 16 inches, 2.5K resolution and 240Hz frame refresh rate specifications, and the battery is 80Wh, supporting 100W USB-PD fast charging. The connection ports include one Thunderbolt 4, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, as well as HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 network cable ports and SD memory card slots. In addition, it also provides a Full HD quality infrared video camera and DTS:X Ultra certified speakers.
In terms of the suggested retail price, the Red Magic 9S Pro series will be sold at a starting price of RMB 4799, and the Red Magic laptop will be priced from RMB 10499. It will be available for sale in the Chinese market from now on, and is expected to be available in the international market on July 7.
