The Nothing Phone (2) maintains almost the same design as the previous generation model, but the OLED screen has been increased to 6.7 inches and LTPO display panel technology has been added, corresponding to 2412 x 1080 resolution and 1Hz-120Hz automatic adaptive frame rate. It also corresponds to a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The full-screen brightness can reach 1000 nits outdoors, and the HDR peak pixel brightness can reach 1600 nits.
The processor uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and it offers 8GB or 12GB of memory, and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage capacity. The body is available in two colors: white and gray. The gray is lighter than the black launched last year and has a better texture.
As for the Glyph lighting module on the back, it adds more functions and has more lighting segment display effects, including 3 independently addressable areas, 10 new ringtones and notification sound effects, as well as 10 classic Nothing Phone (1) ringtones and notification ringtones added by Nothing Phone (2). Using the stopwatch, Essential notifications, and adjusting the volume can all correspond to the Glyph lighting display effects. At the same time, the Glyph lighting brightness can also be adjusted this time.
Other parts include IP54-rated water and dust resistance, support for unlocking the phone via fingerprint or facial recognition, a 4700mAh battery capacity, corresponding to 45W wired fast charging (the phone can be fully charged in 55 minutes at the fastest), 15W Qi wireless charging (the phone can be fully charged in 130 minutes at the fastest) and 5W reverse wireless power supply. As for the SIM card, it still maintains a dual-card slot design.
The new version of Nothing OS 2.0 operating system is based on Android 13, with a monochrome design and a large number of widgets, allowing users to complete most usage needs more quickly on the home screen and screen lock interface. Unfortunately, the monochrome color scheme does not allow third-party apps to be presented in the same color, so it will appear abrupt.
