Nintendo first launched the game in Japan and other regions in October last year.Special alarm clock AlarmoAfter its release, the console was so hard to come by that it could only be pre-ordered through a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and sales through Nintendo physical stores were even temporarily suspended. Nintendo recently announced that it would open sales to all participating retailers in March of this year, allowing all consumers to purchase directly.
As for Taiwan, there are also businessessignPre-orders for the Alarmo will open on February 2th, with a suggested retail price of NT$28. Currently, the Alarmo is available in North America for US$3590 and Japan for ¥99.99. However, Nintendo Taiwan has yet to announce any further details, so it's possible that distributors or retailers will release the version themselves.
Nintendo previously emphasized that it will increase Alarmo's production capacity to meet market demand, but whether the situation of shortage of machines will occur again at that time may depend on the subsequent situation.
In the design of Alarmo, Nintendo hopes to make the user experience more interesting. For example, twisting your body in bed can make the alarm ring smaller, but if you want to stop the alarm completely, you must let the alarm recognize whether the user has fully woken up, or turn it off by pressing the button on the top of the alarm.
Alarmo offers a total of five themes, including "Super Mario: Odyssey", "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", "Pikmin 4", "Ring Fit Adventure" and "Splatoon 3". Each theme has 7 game scenes, and more theme scenes can even be added through online updates.
In addition to being used as a regular alarm clock, Alarmo can also help users fall asleep through soothing sounds and record the user's sleep process.
