Nintendo's first Nintendo Live 2023 Taipei event in Taiwan will begin today (11/11) at Taipei World Trade Center Hall XNUMX for two days. I also visited the event site to get a glimpse of this first Nintendo event held in Taiwan.
Since this event is a pre-registration only event, reservations are now open through Klook on October 10th and 14th. Therefore, no walk-in registration will be accepted on-site. Additionally, belongings will be checked upon entry, so it is recommended to travel light.
The event featured a showcase of major Nintendo games and characters, including "Super Mario Bros.: Uncharted Waters," "The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Tears," "Spider-Dragon 3," "Pikmin 4," "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," "Pokémon Red and Purple," as well as themed areas like "Kirby Quest" and "Nintendo Switch Sports." Visitors were also able to experience Nintendo games firsthand and take photos with the characters.
Visitors to Minzhong are advised to prepare their Nintendo Account and download the Nintendo Switch Online app before entering. Once logged in, they can quickly confirm their admission via a QR code upon entry and receive a Mario-themed storage charm.
In addition to the on-site experience activities, the preliminary finals of "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" and "Spratfall 3" were also held on site. Players who won the championship in the event will be able to represent Taiwan in overseas competitions.
Among them, the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" preliminary finals will be held on November 11, and the "Spratfall 11" preliminary finals will be held on November 3. Players who win the championship and advance will be able to receive the "Mario Kart 11 Deluxe" 12 commemorative badge set, or the "Spratfall 8" original sticker set, and can go to Hong Kong to participate in Nintendo Live Hong Kong on November 2023, and will compete with the winner of the Hong Kong competition. Those who advance again can compete with global qualified players at the Nintendo Live 3 Tokyo World Conference from January 11 to 23, 2024.
This is the first Nintendo Live 2023 Taipei event held in Taiwan. Hosts 6tan, Niaoshi, Xiaokui, and Jie Jieling will play "Everybody 1-2-Switch!" and "Stretch Your Brain at Flexible Brain School" on site. Lu Dan, Baileyberry, Ah Shen, and Martin will also participate in the four-player cooperative challenge of "Super Mario Bros. Amazing".
