Nikon announces new entry-level camera with Z mount and FX formatZ5The successor product is called Nikon Z5II, which also includes a mid-range model.Nikon Z6IIITechnical specifications provide higher shooting focus performance and noise suppression effect during night shooting.
In terms of specifications, the Nikon Z5II is equipped with a 2450-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor and uses the next-generation EXPEED 7 image processor, which is claimed to reduce shooting and focusing time by about one-third compared to the Z5, and has faster and more accurate dark focus. The mechanical shutter speed can reach 14 frames per second, and the electronic shutter speed can reach 30 frames per second. It also supports pre-shooting one second before the actual shooting, so that users will not miss the instant shooting scene. The video recording function supports up to 4K 60p, and can also support direct storage to SD memory cards in N-RAW file format.
As for the focus function, in addition to improving the speed and dark focus performance, it also adds a function to recognize images of common types that users shoot, including people, dogs, cats, birds, airplanes, cars, motorcycles, bicycles and trains, thereby accelerating the focusing speed and accuracy of shooting such images. It also incorporates a body shake-proof design, which is claimed to provide up to 7.5 levels of shake correction when focusing in the center, and up to 5 levels of shake correction when focusing on the edge. It can even correct shake near the focus point when focusing priority.
The body is made of magnesium alloy on the front panel and upper and lower parts, and is sealed to provide dust and drip resistance. The memory card slot can accommodate two SD memory cards. The flip-up touch screen originally used in the Nikon Z5 has been changed to a flip-out design that can be used at multiple angles. To the right of the dial on the top of the camera that controls the shooting mode, there are image control buttons that can switch between different shooting styles.
In addition, the Nikon Z5II has added a "Z" logo to the grip and ship, and a "Z5II" design has been added to the lower right corner of the lens mount. The battery used in the body remains the same as the Nikon Z5, both using the EN-EL15c specification, but the battery grip corresponds to the MB-N6 that can also be used in the Nikon Z14III. The total weight of the body including the memory card and battery is 700 grams.
Currently, the Nikon Z5II body only is priced at 26 yen, the suggested retail price in the US market is US$1700, and the price in the Taiwanese market has not yet been announced.
