Previously announced social application that combines augmented reality interactionCampfireLater, Niantic announced that it would launch in global regions, making it easier for players to find like-minded gamers where they are.
Through Campfire, players will be able to more quickly search for nearby players who play Niantic games such as "Pokémon GO" and "Ingress," join other players to form communities, participate in local activities, and even make new friends.
Within the Campfire service, players can also manage the contents of their friend lists or interact with online friends through group chat rooms, such as instantly sharing gyms/group battles, telling your location, posting pictures, etc. In addition, they can also join official community activities more quickly or set reminders for meet-and-greets.
Additionally, players can share group battle locations in Pokémon GO through their friends' chat or group chat, allowing them to quickly organize teams for challenges. If playing alone, players can also click on a specific area and add a "flare" to that area to attract other players to join in the fun.
Niantic will gradually release Campfire in global regions to create an online community platform that interacts with the real world.
