Earlier at the Made by Google conference, Google announced that it will launch the new Pixel Buds in the form of true wireless earphones in 2020.
In addition to being designed as true wireless earbuds, the new Pixel Buds offer 5 hours of continuous use, and 24 hours of use when paired with the carrying case. They also support ambient noise reduction and use beamforming technology to enhance the reception and call quality. Through the new Adaptive Sound technology, the volume can be automatically adjusted when users move from a quiet environment at home to a subway or a noisy cafe, allowing users to maintain an appropriate listening volume performance.
In terms of functionality, the new Pixel Buds not only work with the Google Assistant but also support real-time translation and other features. Google also emphasized the sound quality of the new Pixel Buds. Furthermore, with long-range Bluetooth technology, the new Pixel Buds can connect up to three rooms indoors and even as far as an American football field outdoors.
As for the wearing part, it can adapt to the ear shapes of most users, and the output sound is completely retained in the ear through the earplugs, while maintaining an appropriate amount of ambient sound to ensure safety during use.
In addition, in terms of user privacy and security, Google has also added a Titan security chip to this headset to ensure that the content of users' calls and the use of services will not be stolen.
However, the new Pixel Buds are not expected to be officially launched until spring 2020. Google is expected to reveal more details about the headphones next month. The suggested retail price is US$179.
