In mid-January this year, a Chromium-basedMicrosoft Edge browser official versionLater, Microsoft included support for the Surface Pro X designed with Arm 80-bit architecture in version 64.
Although the Microsoft Edge browser provided with the Windows 10 operating system has added support for the Arm 64-bit architecture hardware environment, the Microsoft Edge browser that was later switched to the Chromium architecture design still only supports x86 hardware design. Therefore, it could only run in simulated form on devices with Arm 64-bit architecture hardware design, such as Surface Pro X.
Therefore, the addition of support for the Arm 64-bit architecture hardware environment to the Microsoft Edge browser designed with the Chromium architecture will enable the new version of the browser to run more smoothly on Arm 64-bit architecture hardware devices such as Surface Pro X, including the presentation of web content, switching pages, and the overall scrolling browsing experience.
In addition to using the Chromium architecture to achieve faster execution efficiency, it is also compatible with various plug-ins built for Google Chrome, and is also compatible with web content originally built for IE browsers.
Through the new Collection function option, you can store, manage, or share web content functions respectively. This will be added to the official version later. Currently, only the beta version provides a testing experience.
Currently, the new version of Microsoft Edge browser provides versions for Windows and Mac platforms, and also supports iOS and Android platforms.
