Bloomberg News reportedNetflix has integrated OpenAI's artificial intelligence technology into the search function of its streaming video service to help users more easily find viewing content that suits their personal preferences.
Currently, this feature is available to some users in Australia and New Zealand, and is being tested on iOS devices first. It allows users to search by content type, mood, and other descriptions beyond the original program title and actor name. They can even describe specific plots to find matching content.
Netflix has already incorporated artificial intelligence into its viewing experience, using AI learning to understand users' viewing preferences and provide relevant content through related recommendations. This collaboration with OpenAI aims to make it easier for users to find content that interests them.
After testing in Australia and New Zealand, Netflix expects to expand this feature to more regions, including the United States. It is also expected to be applied to Android platforms and other Netflix platform services.
