It has been confirmed that it will be launched at the end of this year or early next yearNetflix's advertising-supported streaming servicesLater, in the recent Netflix iOS appEncoded content, which seems to suggest that the upcoming ad-supported version will have obvious functional limitations.
The standard version and the low-priced version for markets like India offer downloading for viewing, but the ad-supported version does not, and the resolution is limited to 480p. Ads cannot be turned off or skipped through via fast forward. Fast forwarding or replaying is only available after the ad has finished playing.
However, some of the content included in the ad-supported version of Netflix will still not include advertisements, but it is expected that the more popular content will definitely have advertising content, thereby increasing Netflix's revenue.
It is not yet confirmed how the ad-supported version of Netflix will be charged. The current basic plan is priced at $9.99 per month, the standard plan is priced at $15.49 per month, and the Premium plan is priced at $19.99 per month. Therefore, the subscription price of the ad-supported version will obviously be lower than the basic plan.
