Mozilla obviously did not have the extra resources to continue investing in the development of derivative products other than the Firefox browser, so it also put Firefox Lite into the maintenance stage.
In a recent public statement, Mozilla confirmed that the Firefox Lite project has been shut down and maintenance will be terminated after June 6, which means that it will no longer receive any version updates in the future. Therefore, Mozilla recommends that existing users switch to the Firefox browser and continue using it.
Because it is built with the Google Chromium engine rather than Mozilla's own browser engine, it occupies a very small proportion of the capacity. It is mainly designed for emerging markets where most people use entry-level mobile phones, allowing users to browse the web in a lighter way, but still has features such as saving traffic, protecting privacy and accelerating browsing, which is why it attracts many people to use it.
