At Lenovo’s booth at CES 2026, Motorola finally ventured into the “foldable phone” market, launching a new phone called razr fold. Like Samsung’s previous Galaxy Z Fold7, it features a slim and lightweight design, but still retains the stylus functionality.
In the past few years, Motorola has regained a significant market share with its razr series of foldable phones. This time, it's not just about making the screen bigger; while competitors have compromised by removing the stylus function in pursuit of an "ultra-thin" design, Motorola has retained the stylus operation experience in the razr fold.
In addition to the Razr Fold, the new flagship Motorola Signature series and the Moto Watch smartwatch powered by the Polar algorithm, also showcased at the event, further highlight Motorola's ambition to build a complete ecosystem.
Razr Fold: Going against the tide, rediscovering the soul of "productivity"
Holding the razr fold in your hand, you can intuitively feel how thin and light the body is. It is available in black and white.
Although Motorola has not yet released specific weight figures, the phone's weight distribution is quite balanced when unfolded. The external screen uses a 6.6-inch display panel with a moderate aspect ratio, making it easy to operate with one hand to reply to messages; while the unfolded 8.1-inch 2K LTPO flexible internal screen provides a more ample display area, and the central crease is well controlled, making it almost imperceptible when the screen is lit.
While Samsung opted for a thinner and lighter design in the Galaxy Z Fold7, sacrificing support for the S Pen stylus, Motorola added support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus to the Razr Fold. Although the stylus wasn't designed to be stored inside the phone, it's clearly a significant draw for users who prefer to write notes with a pen.
In terms of the imaging system, the Razr Fold features a triple-lens main camera module, including a 5000-megapixel main lens (using a Sony LYTIA sensor), a 5000-megapixel ultra-wide/macro lens, and a 5000-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto lens. Additionally, it has a 3200-megapixel front-facing camera on the external screen and a 2000-megapixel rear-facing camera on the internal screen, supporting Dolby Vision video recording.
Regarding specific hardware specifications, Motorola has not yet released processor information, but it is expected to be announced later. The phone was not unlocked at the event, so details about the internal interface cannot be confirmed at this time.
Motorola Signature: Defining "Ultra-Flagship" Craftsmanship
If the Razr Fold was created for productivity, then the new Motorola Signature series, which was also unveiled, is clearly designed to showcase its design capabilities.
This vertical flagship also features an "ultra-thin" design, and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and a 5200mAh silicon-carbon anode battery. The staff at the event particularly emphasized its "thinnest quad-camera design in its class." Upon closer inspection of the back of the phone, the four 5000-megapixel lenses are neatly arranged, without sacrificing the feel of the device due to the high-end components.
In addition, this phone supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, along with a promised 7-year system update and "white glove" premium service, clearly targeting high-end users who do not want to compromise on performance and design.
Moto Things: Smarter peripherals powered by Polar technology
In the accessories section, the new Moto Watch features a 47mm round dial with a stainless steel crown, maintaining the rugged style of a traditional analog watch. Internally, it collaborates with Polar, a leading technology authority in motion detection, enabling it to directly analyze motion data using Polar's professional motion algorithms. It also boasts a battery life of up to 13 days under normal use.
In addition, the second-generation Moto Tag 2 remains compact, but its battery life has been increased to over 500 days. A live demonstration showed it using UWB and Bluetooth Channel Sounding technology for location tracking, with much more accurate directional positioning than its predecessor. It can even be used as a remote shutter release for selfies with the Razr Fold, and it's also more technologically compatible with Apple's AirTag accessories.
FIFA co-branded models - take a look
During CES 2026, Lenovo announced its partnership with FIFA as an official technology partner, and showcased a series of FIFA World Cup 26 special edition devices to be launched, including ThinkPad, Yoga, and Motorola models. 手機This is to commemorate the upcoming sporting event.
