Motorola earlier announced the launch of two vertically concave foldable phones, namely Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, which adopt different positioning designs to further lower the price of foldable screen phones.
The two phones weigh 188.6 grams and 184.5 grams respectively. Both use a 6.9-inch internal OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The thickness of the body when unfolded is 7.35mm and 6.99mm respectively. The Razr 40 is available in black, blue and purple, while the Razr 40 Ultra is available in gray, white and pink.
Although both phones use the same foldable screen design on the inside, the outer screen design has different specifications. The Razr 40 uses a 1.5-inch screen design that only displays necessary information, while the Razr 40 Ultra uses a 3.6-inch screen and even has a hole design to accommodate two camera lenses.
The hinge design of the foldable screen also has a durability of 40 folds and supports multi-angle hovering. The back of the body is made of glass and leather respectively, and the body is equipped with Dolby Atmos dual speakers, NFC function, and an X-axis linear motor.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Razr 40 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, is equipped with 8GB or 12GB of memory, and 128GB or 256GB of storage capacity. The battery capacity is 4200mAh, supports 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging. In addition, the camera is equipped with a 3200-megapixel internal video lens, and the main camera is equipped with a 6400-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 1300-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Razr 40 Ultra uses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, is equipped with 8GB or 12GB of memory, and 256GB or 512GB of storage capacity. The battery capacity is reduced to 3800mAh, and it also supports 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging. The camera part is also equipped with a 3200-megapixel internal video lens, and the main camera is equipped with a 1200-megapixel wide-angle lens with optical image stabilization, and is paired with a 1300-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
In terms of suggested retail price, Razr 40 will start at RMB 3999, and Razr 40 Ultra will start at RMB 5699. They will be sold first in the Chinese market.
