As the "Copilot+ PC" ecosystem gradually expands, Microsoft recently expanded the Surface family lineup again and announced the launch of a more affordable entry-levelNew Surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop 13It is expected to be officially launched in Taiwan on July 7th. Pre-orders are now open, with the entry-level price starting from NT$15, allowing more consumers to experience the productivity improvement brought by the latest AI PC with a lighter and thinner design and affordable price.
Both Surface models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor, featuring an integrated high-performance NPU and delivering 45 TOPS of computing power. These enable seamless operation of Windows 11's built-in Copilot+ experience, including Live Captions, Photo Memories, and Generative Assistance, providing comprehensive AI-accelerated performance. While maintaining the Surface line's signature thin and light design and long-lasting battery life, these models meet the demands of mobile work.
The Surface Pro 12 is a 2-in-1 convertible tablet with a brand-new mechanical design. It weighs only 686 grams and boasts up to 16 hours of battery life. The PixelSense touchscreen and Surface Slim stylus allow users to take notes, draw, and edit content on the go. The detachable keyboard transforms it into a laptop. Pricing for the 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD model is NT$29888, while the 512GB SSD model is NT$33388. The keyboard and stylus are sold separately, and the complete package starts at approximately NT$38000.
The Surface Laptop 13-inch features a classic laptop form factor, offering thin, portable design and all-day battery life. Its lightweight and stylish design features a 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen display and up to 23 hours of battery life. It also includes a built-in Surface Studio Camera and Studio Microphone, along with support for AI-enhanced video conferencing. It also features a dedicated Copilot shortcut key and fingerprint recognition for enhanced convenience and security. Pricing starts at NT$16 for the 256GB RAM and 33388GB storage model, and NT$512 for the 36888GB storage model.
The newly released Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are the most affordable models in the Copilot+ PC series, significantly lowering the price barrier compared to the previously released Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 15. They are designed for light creative work, clerical tasks, and business mobility, making them suitable for entry-level users such as students and new employees. Microsoft also released a variety of accessories, including a 12-inch keyboard, Surface Arc Mouse, and a 45W USB-C charger, allowing users to customize their experience to best suit their needs.
