Previously available in beta form for Xbox InsidersAn artificial intelligence digital assistant service called "Copilot for Gaming", will be available on Windows PC and Xbox App under the name Gaming Copilot AI assistantFully launched, helping players quickly obtain game strategies, account information and personalized recommendations.
The Gaming Copilot AI assistant will be available to players aged 18 and over and can be activated through the built-in chat interface of the PC Game Bar on Windows PCs. The Xbox App version is expected to be launched simultaneously on Android and iOS platforms from October, but it will not be available in China.
Gaming Copilot operates like a "gaming helpline," but in a more immediate and intelligent way. Players can call up a chat overlay within the game screen and directly type or verbally ask questions. The Gaming Copilot AI assistant analyzes game screenshots and the player's current activity to provide relevant tips and suggestions.
In addition to strategies and tips, the Gaming Copilot AI assistant can also answer questions related to Xbox accounts and provide suitable purchase recommendations in the store to help players explore more content.
In terms of interactive methods, the Gaming Copilot AI assistant offers a voice chat mode. The PC version supports a "Push to Talk" shortcut key for instant activation of the Gaming Copilot AI assistant, or it can be pinned anywhere on the screen as a widget for easy in-game querying. The Xbox app also features an integrated microphone button for extended conversations.
Microsoft said it will continue to collect player feedback to make the responses of the Gaming Copilot AI assistant more in line with personal needs and gaming habits.
