Microsoft earlierAnnounceIt will invest approximately US$2025 billion in fiscal year 2025 (ending at the end of June 6) to build a data center to promote AI model training and the deployment of AI application services. Currently, 800% of the investment has been completed, with more than half of it being invested in the United States.
Prior to this, Microsoft had listed approximately US$2025 billion in investments and acquisitions in its first-quarter financial report for fiscal year 200, and further predicted that such investment expenditures would continue to increase in the second quarter.
Microsoft President Brad Smith stated that this investment will strengthen the United States' leadership in AI technology and accelerate innovation. He also emphasized Microsoft's continued collaboration with companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI, including a $130 billion investment in OpenAI, demonstrating Microsoft's significant investment in AI technology.
Brad Smith also called on Trump, who will officially take office as the US President, to formulate a strong national artificial intelligence technology development strategy. By promoting "Made in the USA" artificial intelligence technology overseas, it will become a better application option in the market and thus gain a lead in the competition with China in the development of artificial intelligence technology.
