Microsoft plans to add a "handoff" feature similar to Apple's to the Windows 11 operating system to facilitate the continued operation between Windows 11 and other devices.

During Build 2025, Microsoft began to propose to developers a "Handoff" function similar to that provided by Apple in the macOS operating system, so that users can continue to use the original operating content between different devices such as Windows 11 devices and mobile phones.

Conceptually, it's similar to the "handoff" feature Apple offers between operating systems like macOS and iOS. Microsoft has also proposed a similar application model, allowing developers to add relevant APIs to their applications. However, Microsoft's "cross-device handoff" is currently only available for Windows 11 and Android devices, and not yet for iOS devices.

In addition to the "cross-device connection" feature, Microsoft will also provide cross-device sharing and quick sharing to contacts functions, allowing users to interact more easily between Windows 11 devices.
