Microsoft earlier announced the launch of a new product to coincide with this year's Earth Day.Resilient Xbox Wireless Controller, which are made of materials such as old game controllers, car headlight covers, and recycled CDs, allowing players to support environmental sustainability through practical actions.
This wireless controller, called Xbox Remix, actually does not have any additional special functions. It is mainly made of recycled resin and remade materials at a ratio of one-third, including plastic kettles, car headlight covers, recycled CDs and other materials, as well as recycled Xbox One wireless controller components and remade materials, to ensure the durability of the Xbox Remix wireless controller.
Because it uses recycled materials, there will be special textures on the surface, allowing each Xbox Remix wireless controller to have a unique appearance. There are even special texture effects on the controller's grip area, trigger buttons and other parts to pay tribute to the dynamic landscape of the earth.
In addition, the green tones on the shell, directional keys, and buttons are inspired by lichens (a symbiosis formed by fungi and green algae or cyanobacteria) in the Pacific Northwest of the Earth.
In order to reduce the use of disposable batteries by players, Microsoft will bundle the Xbox Remix wireless controller with the Xbox rechargeable battery pack with a suggested retail price of $25, and sell it at a suggested retail price of $85. It is expected to be officially launched on April 4.
