After Sony launched a variety of game-themed console cover accessories for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, either customizable or replaceable, Microsoft has finally followed suit with accessories for the Xbox Series X that allow users to customize the console's appearance.
Microsoft's design uses accessories that directly cover the outer periphery of the Xbox Series X console, allowing the console to instantly transform into a game-themed design or change different colors according to personal preferences.
At the same time, Microsoft emphasizes that the inside of the accessories is made of soft silicone material to avoid scratching the appearance of the host during installation and use. It even retains openings for the host's heat dissipation needs and the use of function buttons to avoid affecting the host's operation and performance.
In addition to the accessories designed with the theme of "Starfield" which will be launched on September 9, Microsoft also launched two camouflage accessories in blue and gray tones to give users more choices.
The Starfield accessory will launch in the US, Canada, and Europe on October 10th for a suggested retail price of $18 USD, with pre-orders available starting today through the Microsoft Store. Both camouflage accessories will launch in the US and Canada on November 49.99th, with only the gray camouflage accessory available in Europe. Both accessories have a suggested retail price of $11 USD, also available for pre-order starting today through the Microsoft Store.
This is not the first time that Microsoft has provided customized accessories for game consoles. In fact, when it launched the Xbox 360 in the past, Microsoft proposed replaceable panel accessories, but it was not favored by players.
