The Open 3D Foundation, initiated by the Linux Foundation, announced earlier that Microsoft has joined as one of its main members to help promote the development of the 3D creative content market.
In addition to Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, Huawei, Intel, Niantic, and Tencent are all major members of this foundation, and general members include 3A-level game development service provider AccelByte, Canadian game music software developer Audiokinetic, Backtrace, Huawei's US research unit Futurewei, Red Hat and other industries.
By joining the Open 3D Foundation, Microsoft expressed its hope to continue to help promote the development of 3D creative content and enable developers to more easily create 3D content through any suitable platform and anywhere.
In addition to promoting the Open 3D Foundation, the Linux Foundation also promotes open 3D engine technology, allowing more game content developers and content creators to unleash their creativity through open 3D engine technology and create 3D content that can attract more people.
