Microsoft also started promoting the Airband project as early as 2017, hoping to allow more people to reduce the digital gap through the convenience of the Internet.
After previously allowing more people to access the Internet by using idle spectrum bandwidth from television broadcasts, Microsoft announced that it will further extend the Airband project to Africa, Latin America and parts of Asia.
