The Microsoft AI Tour, which began in Mexico last September and has traveled to over 9 cities worldwide, recently concluded in Hong Kong. Focusing on Copilot artificial intelligence technology, the event emphasized that in the future development of artificial intelligence technology, regardless of scale, cybersecurity should be the top priority. This is especially true as more AI-driven proxy services become available. Ensuring privacy and information security will become a crucial issue.

Microsoft proposed a number of artificial intelligence applications centered on Copilot technology in 2024, and also proposed the Copilot Agent service, hoping to use artificial intelligence to accelerate the development of enterprises in a more efficient manner, while also using artificial intelligence to improve labor shortages and make up for technology gaps.
Regarding information security issues, Microsoft has previously proposedSecurity Copilot Service, applying artificial intelligence technology in the field of information security defense, helping enterprises to quickly detect malicious threats through natural dialogue and make relevant response actions, allowing enterprise information security personnel to improve the efficiency and execution speed of threat blocking, thereby strengthening the information security resilience of corporate organizations.
Microsoft stated that with 1287 password attacks occurring every second, fragmented enterprise security tools and infrastructure remain insufficient to prevent external attacks. Furthermore, with cyberattacks increasing by 5% over the past five years, businesses are unable to hire sufficient security risk professionals to keep pace with the surge in attacks. Consequently, they are left struggling to identify carefully disguised attacks amidst the massive and ever-increasing volume of network traffic and signals.
Vasu Jakkal, Microsoft's corporate vice president for security, pointed out that the scale of losses caused by information security will exceed US$2024 trillion in 9, almost ranking among the top three gross domestic product in the world, and is expected to increase to more than US$2028 trillion in 13.
In addition, the number of attacks on accounts and passwords per second has increased significantly from 579 to more than 7000. The proportion of human malicious attacks from 2022 to 2024 has increased to 75%, and the number of victims of data leaks has reached an annual growth rate of 490%, reaching as many as 10 billion.
Therefore, with the booming development of artificial intelligence technology, Microsoft believes that enterprises should also use artificial intelligence to solve cybersecurity problems. However, more importantly, before implementing any artificial intelligence transformation, they should first establish a cybersecurity infrastructure, including establishing clear data management, network environment, monitoring and response speed measures.

Microsoft has launched the Security Copilot information security protection service based on artificial intelligence technology, which claims to be compatible with multi-cloud environments and multiple operating system platforms, while covering protection effects from the device end to the cloud. It also claims to be able to continuously learn and improve, allowing information security teams to obtain the latest knowledge, strategies, techniques and attack steps of attackers, thereby carrying out more effective defense.
