Regarding the impact of Crowdstrike’s recent negligence,Microsoft services are down globally, and Windows devices are experiencing crashes or reboots.Microsoft earlier confirmed that the actual number of850 million Windows devices affected, while most of them have been resolved, but Microsoft and Crowdstrike are still dealing with other subsequent issues.
David Weston, vice president of enterprise and operating system security at Microsoft, said that they are currently working with Crowdstrike to develop a scalable solution to speed up the recovery of Azure cloud service infrastructure affected by Crowdstrike's erroneous update. In addition, they are also working with Amazon's AWS cloud service and Google Cloud cloud service to develop effective solutions to enable customers' affected services to resume operations faster.

However, the actual number of affected devices is actually less than one percent of all devices using the Windows operating system.
CrowdStrike stated that the global impact on Microsoft services was caused by an error in its service update, which may have affected the configuration of workloads on Microsoft's Azure cloud service platform, resulting in impacts to Microsoft services and Windows devices in various regions around the world. Microsoft confirmed that the issue occurred in an Azure regional data center in the central United States and that repairs were already underway.
As for the impact of this incident, not only did many people report that their Microsoft-related services were unable to operate normally, many Windows devices also experienced crashes and restarts. Airlines including American Airlines, United Airlines, Tigerair Taiwan, Jetstar, and Scoot were all affected. At the same time, the computer systems of hospitals such as National Taiwan University Hospital and Taipei Veterans General Hospital were also affected, but some situations have since resumed normal operations.
