The new test version of Windows 11, numbered Build 23493, includes a preview of the Windows Copilot digital assistant service. This feature can be accessed through a new Windows Copilot icon in the taskbar or by quickly activating it with the Win+C key combination. To use it, you must be logged in with a personal Microsoft account or an Azure Active Directory account.
However, the preview version mainly provides an operating interface and simple application functions. Microsoft will add more services through subsequent updates.
Currently, the corresponding functions include switching the operating system interface to dark mode, turning on Do Not Disturb mode, or capturing the screen. When viewing web content through the Microsoft Edge browser, you can also use Windows Copilot to summarize web content. In addition, you can also use automatically generated artificial intelligence to generate stories such as "A Dog Living on the Moon" and automatically generate images of "Carp Pond with Lotus Flowers".
In other aspects, Microsoft has also readjusted the Windows 11 setting interface and allows users to automatically resume downloading apps that are not available on the Microsoft Store. It has also added support for more open source compression file formats such as .tar, .tar.gz, .7z, .txz, and readjusted the system mixing adjustment function, adding local voice content for Japanese and English (such as adding British accents).
