At a Microsoft event held earlier in New York, Microsoft confirmed that it wouldCopilot AI Assistant FeaturesIt will be available in Windows 11 and is expected to be released with the major update on September 9.
The Copilot artificial intelligence assistant function will obviously replace the previous Cortana in the Windows operating system, and can help users use more Windows functions. For example, when the user copies the content of an email, Copilot will ask whether further operations are required or organize the key points of the email content.
On the other hand, Copilot is connected to OpenAI's GPT-4 large-scale natural language model and can import visual analysis functions. For example, when you ask Copilot about your upcoming business trip time, you can find flight information for the business trip from your laptop or a mobile phone connected to the laptop. If you further ask whether there are any suitable exhibitions and performances in the local area during this period, Copilot can also take over and find content that the user is interested in.
In addition, Microsoft has also integrated the Copilot service into online shopping scenarios, allowing users to interact with Copilot verbally, such as describing their personal preferences for shoes, sizes, or clothing styles, or directly uploading images for comparison. Copilot will then find suitable products online and automatically complete price comparisons, allowing users to purchase at the cheapest price.
Copilot will also be integrated into Microsoft services such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams, and will be used to meet the needs of enterprise users.Microsoft 365 CopilotIt will also be available for use in November this year, and will be able to help organize messages between colleagues, help write letters, or arrange meeting times for colleagues from different units.
Microsoft has also updated Microsoft Edge or Bing Search services that have previously integrated the Copilot function, enabling them to increase usage efficiency through artificial intelligence functions.
Even for the Outlook email service, a feature called "Sound like me" has been added, allowing artificial intelligence to compose letters in the user's personal voice. In addition, the Paint function has also been added with automatic generative artificial intelligence capabilities, which can automatically generate corresponding image content based on user interaction content through a function called Cocreator.
Currently, such updates will be provided later, but initially only the English interface version may be available. It is not yet confirmed whether the corresponding interactive version including Chinese will also be provided within this year.
