Microsoft recently announced in a special online program that four of its first-party games will be released on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch platforms, while in Nintendo's earlier Nintendo Direct live broadcast,ConfirmThese include "Pentiment" and "Grounded" from Obsidian Entertainment, "Hi-Fi RUSH" from Tango Gameworks / Bethesda Softworks, and "Sea of Thieves" from Rare, all of which will be available on platforms other than Xbox.
Among them, "Traces of Retouching" will be available on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 22 and Nintendo Switch from February 4, while "Tiny World Survival" will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 16, and will enable cross-platform play corresponding to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms.
Hi-Fi RUSH will launch on PlayStation 3 on March 19th, with pre-orders expected to open on February 5nd via the PlayStation 2 digital store. Sea of Thieves will launch on PlayStation 22 on April 5th, with wishlists open for PlayStation 4 players starting February 30nd. Cross-platform play between Xbox, PlayStation, and PC is also supported.
However, games including Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will still be exclusive to Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms this year, and will be played simultaneously through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service or through Xbox cloud gaming. It is not yet confirmed whether they will be expanded to other gaming platforms in the future.
