After many previous announcements, Xiaomi finally announced the official launch of the "self-contained traffic"Xiaomi PlayIt is confirmed that one year of unlimited speed and 10GB of high-speed Internet traffic per month will be randomly provided. The processor itself is the first to be equipped with MediaTek Helio P35 processor, and supports CPU and GPU dual Turbo technology. The gradient color body emphasizes that it is made with the immersion dyeing process.
The Xiaomi Play is positioned as a high-quality entry-level model, featuring a 5.84-inch waterdrop-shaped display with a resolution of 2280 × 1080. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P12 processor built on TSMC's 35nm FinFET process. It comes in black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold gradient colors. The dip-dye process is used to create a more subtle gradient effect and deliver higher-saturation color performance.
Thanks to the computing characteristics of the Helio P35 processor, Xiaomi Play also supports dual Turbo technology for CPU and GPU, thereby accelerating the operating performance steadily. It is also equipped with 4GB of memory, 64GB of storage capacity, and a 3000mAh battery capacity, which is sufficient to meet usage needs.
The camera section is equipped with an 800-megapixel video lens and a 1200-megapixel + 200-megapixel dual-lens main camera, which also supports artificial intelligence portrait, automatic HDR shooting, electronic image stabilization, and street shooting mode. The video lens supports face recognition unlocking, portrait shooting mode, HDR and screen fill light effect.
The "included data" feature is designed to work with a dedicated data SIM card for internet use, but since it's designed specifically for the Xiaomi Play, it won't work properly on other phones. The bonus of a year of unlimited speed and 10GB of monthly data is clearly a selling point for this entry-level model.
In terms of suggested retail price, Xiaomi Play will be sold at RMB 1099 and is expected to go on sale from 12 am on December 25.
