In recent developments, Meta has added advertising content to its Threads service, making it one of Meta's advertising revenue sources. Therefore, it would not be surprising to see advertisements placed in the Meta AI App in the future.
As for the first quarter financial report of fiscal year 2025 released earlier, Meta's revenue reached US$423 billion, an increase of 1400% over the same period last year, while expenditure reached US$16 billion, an increase of 247% over the same period last year. The profit reached US$5900 billion, an increase of 9% over the same period last year. As for net profit, it was US$175 billion, an increase of 5500% over last year.
The average daily active users of services including Facebook reached 34.3 billion, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. Advertising exposure increased by 5% and the average price per advertisement increased by 10%.
