Taking advantage of TikTokRecent "unrest" in the United States, Meta also proposedNew Rewards Program, will provide up to US$5000 in bonuses (approximately NT$16) to users who create content using its services.
This reward program will be open to American adults who have already applied for accounts on third-party social services, and applicants must also create accounts on Instagram and Facebook.
Once the application is approved, creators can receive up to $90 in rewards through their creations within 5000 days at the earliest. However, they must share at least 30 Reels short videos on Facebook and more than 20 Reels short videos on Instagram within every 10 days. At the same time, the short video content shared on the two service platforms cannot be repeated and must be original content. The shared content must be maintained for at least 10 days.
In addition to earning rewards through sharing short video content, Meta also allows creators to earn additional revenue by sharing text and visual content. However, the actual rewards a creator receives will vary based on their active performance on the social platform, meaning that the calculation method also takes into account variables such as the number of followers and frequency of interaction.
The introduction of the new creative reward program is obviously intended to attract more users to switch to Instagram and Facebook, thereby increasing the usage of its social service traffic, as TikTok is facing the issue of whether to stay or go.
According to The Information websiteReports allegeMeta recently even offered monthly bonuses of up to $50000 (approximately NT$163) to selected influencers with a large following on TikTok in exchange for the opportunity to share their content through Reels. Meta has not confirmed this, stating only that it is expanding its investment in content to support a wider creative ecosystem.
Meta also offers a one-year free certification trial program, allowing creators to obtain blue checkmark certification, as well as measures such as impersonation protection. It recently readjusted the Instagram presentation format and extended the length of Reels short videos from 90 seconds to 3 minutes, allowing more people to upload longer video content to attract viewers.
