Announced in April this yearQuest 3 virtual reality headsetEarlier, Meta CEO Mark Zuckberg announced further details at the Connect event, including the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, which is claimed to be able to correspond to higher virtual visual computing performance. It was also confirmed that Quest 3 will be officially sold from October 10th, US time, and pre-orders will be accepted from now on.

In previous explanations, Meta stated that Quest 3 is fully compatible with the corresponding content of Meta Quest 2, so content previously created for Meta Quest 2 can be directly transferred to Meta Quest 3 for use.
The left and right handheld controllers have also been redesigned to be more ergonomic and are called Touch Plus. They integrate the same tactile feedback function as Touch Pro, while the headset itself still supports hand tracking recognition.

The visual display resolution of Quest 3 will be 2% higher than that of Quest 30. It uses a 4K+ Infinite Display panel, which adds 25 pixels at each angle, or 1218 pixels per inch of display area. It is also about 2% lighter and thinner than Quest 40, and can even support full-color perspective function, allowing users to more easily combine virtual visual images with real environments.
As for content, Meta also announced that Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service will also be available on Quest 3, allowing users to stream and play game content provided by Microsoft through virtual visual means.
In addition, Quest 3 can run the action role-playing game "Asgard's Wrath 2" created by Sanzaru Games, or "Assassin's Creed Nexus VR" launched by Ubisoft and exclusive to Quest 3 more smoothly. At the same time, games including "ROBLOX" and "Super Rumble" can also be played more immersively on Quest 3.
In this announcement, Meta announced that Quest 3 will come with additional game content for "Asgard's Wrath 2", allowing users to more easily experience the virtual visual gaming experience.

Quest 3 will offer a starting storage capacity of 128GB, with a suggested retail price starting at $499.99. The maximum storage capacity is 512GB, with a suggested retail price of $649.99, and will also include an additional half-year Quest+ subscription plan.
The Taiwanese market price starts at $529.99 USD, while the 512GB storage version is priced at $689.99 USD. The difference from the US market price is mainly because the Taiwanese market price already includes taxes.
To coincide with the launch of Meta Quest 3, Meta plans to reduce the price of the Meta Quest 6 4GB version to US$2 starting June 128th to attract more people to buy it.

In addition, Meta also plans to launch a portfolio of enterprise solutions combined with Quest 3, which will be compatible with services such as VMware's Workspace ONE or Microsoft's Microsoft 365 to correspond to future virtual visual experience work modes.
