Mercedes-Benz announced that its Mercedes-Benz Pass app will upgrade its charging services starting July 7st. It will integrate DC direct current (DC) and AC alternating current (AC) charging station roaming services from Taiwan's five major charging operators, allowing car owners to more conveniently use charging stations around the country to replenish their vehicle power.
After this upgrade, the Mercedes-Benz Pass App will integrate richer charging station map data and will be able to help car owners find suitable charging stations more quickly through quick navigation, jump charging login, and automatic discount and offer identification.
This upgrade includes collaborations with EVALUE, previously announced in 2019, as well as EVOASIS, iCHARGING, U-POWER, and TAIL, which were announced this time. This will allow car owners to choose charging stations across Taiwan. It is expected that by the end of this year, a total of more than 1000 charging guns will be available across Taiwan, allowing car owners to use DC charging services more conveniently.
Drivers simply need to open the Mercedes-Benz Pass app to quickly search and navigate to a nearby charging station. Scanning the QR code on the charger automatically activates, redirects, and logs into the partner operator's app, activating charging and shortening the previously lengthy registration and authentication process.
