It was shown last year during CES 2023Multiple Wi-Fi 7 networking chip applicationsAfter the design, MediaTek stated that this year many Wi-Fi 7 certified products using its chip design will be exhibited during CES 2024.
Currently, Filogic Wi-Fi 7 certified chipsets are used in home gateways, mesh routers, TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, tablets, laptops and other devices, and provide a more stable wireless network connection experience through Wi-Fi 7 technical specifications.
MediaTek has already launched wireless network chipsets such as Filogic 880, Filogic 860, Filogic 380, and Filogic 360 that correspond to Wi-Fi 7 technical specifications. These are used in connected products from partner manufacturers such as ASUS, BUFFALO, Hisense Visual, Lenovo, Lumen, TCL, and TP-Link. More Wi-Fi 7 application products based on MediaTek chipsets will be launched in succession this year.
Wi-Fi 7 boasts a bandwidth three times higher than Wi-Fi 6, capable of transmitting approximately 3GB of data per second. Its Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology allows Wi-Fi 36 to connect simultaneously via three transmission channels, increasing overall data throughput and connection stability. Furthermore, it uses channel sensing to determine the optimal transmission path.
In addition to a number of mobile phones supporting Wi-Fi 7 this year, after Microsoft plans to update Windows 11 to support Wi-Fi 7 networking, it is expected that more laptops and desktop products will also be able to access the Internet at high speed via Wi-Fi 7.
