MediaTek earlier announced the launch of the Dimensity 9300+ processor at the Shenzhen Dimensity Developer Conference, emphasizing that when combined with the Dimensity artificial intelligence development kit, it will further enhance the user experience of terminal application devices.
The Dimensity 9300+ also adopts an all-large core design, including four Cortex-X4 super-large core CPUs, one of which has a maximum operating clock of 4GHz. In addition, it is paired with four Cortex-A1 large-core CPUs with an operating clock of 3.4GHz, forming a "4+2.0" core architecture. Combined with the Immortrails-G720 GPU, it provides an excellent experience for flagship phone users and gamers.
It uses TSMC's third-generation 4nm process and MediaTek's second-generation packaging design, with an 18MB cache memory combination and combined with MediaTek APU 790 design, to correspond to greater artificial intelligence computing power, and can correspond to Alibaba Cloud Tongyi Qianwen, Baichuan, Wenxin, Google Gemini Nano, Zero One Wanwu, Meta Llama 2 and Llama 3 large natural language models, while using LoRA Fusion 2.0 technology to accelerate artificial intelligence computing acceleration capabilities.
MediaTek said that the Dimensity 9300+ can provide innovative multi-modal experiences of on-device generative AI, such as text, images, and music, and can accelerate the development of on-device generative AI applications through the artificial intelligence framework ExecuTorch.
The Dimensity 9300+ also features Star Engine dynamic adjustment technology, significantly reducing power consumption when gaming in high-definition settings, ensuring longer-lasting full-frame performance. Furthermore, MediaTek's Star Engine network quality monitoring system provides real-time connection quality assessment and supports efficient switching between Wi-Fi and mobile networks, ensuring a consistently smooth online gaming experience.
MediaTek's Dimensity AI Development Kit includes fast and efficient GenAI best practices, the GenAI Model Hub that supports global mainstream large models, GenAI optimization technology that effectively improves performance, and the Neuron Studio one-stop visual development environment, providing developers with a "fast, complete, powerful, and easy" professional development experience.
Among them, GenAI best practices utilize model quantization, model compilation, and model inference technologies to accelerate the deployment of large models on devices, reducing time from weeks to a single day. The GenAI Model Hub adapts to the industry's most advanced large models, providing developers with a rich set of model resources for efficiently building generative AI applications. The Dimensity AI Development Kit also supports advanced GenAI optimization technologies such as speculative decoding acceleration and LoRA Fusion. The Neuron Studio integrated development environment provides a one-stop visual development environment, transcending traditional programming environments and delivering an easier-to-use "what you see is what you get" development experience.
At present, the Dimensity AI Developer Kit has covered smart terminal devices such as smartphones, smart cars, the Internet of Things, and personal computers, which is conducive to the development of generative AI applications in various fields.
In addition to launching the Dimensity AI Development Kit, MediaTek's Starspeed engine has also been fully upgraded. Leveraging dynamic adjustment technology and the hardware ray tracing technology software development kit, it helps game developers create an all-round high-quality experience with more realistic and smooth graphics, better network connection options, and longer battery life through key technologies such as precise performance management, ray tracing effect optimization, and network quality prediction.
