Today (April 4) at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity Auto series' flagship smart cockpit platform, the C-X23, and its flagship in-vehicle communications platform, the MT1. The company, along with ecosystem partners, showcased its most advanced generative AI technology and Agentic AI cockpit applications. By leveraging dual AI engines and a cabin-driver fusion solution, MediaTek is driving a comprehensive upgrade in the AI-defined cockpit experience, bringing advanced AI and multimedia technologies to the next generation of smart cars.
Dimensity Auto's flagship smart cockpit platform, the C-X1, is built with an advanced 3nm process, adopts the Arm v9.2-A instruction set architecture, integrates NVIDIA Blackwell display architecture GPUs and deep learning accelerators, and uses dual AI engines to create a flexible computing architecture, providing powerful AI computing power to meet the needs of future smart cockpits.
Leveraging its cloud-device architecture's consistent development ecosystem, the platform accelerates the deployment of large-scale, multimodal language models, pioneering innovative features such as low-latency device-side voice assistants, real-time journey planning, intelligent vlog generation, driver alertness monitoring, in-cabin environment understanding and perception, and personalized video and audio push notifications, meeting the demands of next-generation smart cockpits for multi-screen display interaction and complex AI heterogeneous computing power.
In the field of entertainment experience, Dimensity Auto's flagship smart cockpit platform C-X1 integrates NVIDIA RTX GPU ray tracing technology to bring realistic light and shadow visual effects to game graphics, providing a clear and smooth in-car 3A-level gaming entertainment experience.
Dimensity Auto's flagship intelligent cockpit platform, the C-X1, when paired with NVIDIA's advanced safety and AI processors, such as NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor, forms a complete centralized computing platform solution to manage all group functions in the vehicle.
Both DRIVE AGX Thor and the Dimensity Auto intelligent cockpit platform C-X1 can achieve flexible resource sharing and overall vehicle grouping capabilities by running the NVIDIA DriveOS platform. Furthermore, through NVIDIA DriveOS's flexible resource sharing, cockpit IVI and advanced driver assistance systems can be further efficiently integrated, enabling system developers to build central computing platforms and create advanced software-defined vehicle solutions for automakers.
MediaTek also launched the Dimensity Auto flagship in-vehicle communication platform, the MT2739. It supports 5G-Advanced communication technology, the first in the world to support 3GPP Release 17 and Release 18 standards, and supports both NB-NTN and NR-NTN satellite communication technologies. The Dimensity Auto flagship in-vehicle communication platform, the MT2739, features single-radio dual-SIM dual-pass technology, intelligent driving scenario recognition, and AI-powered network optimization. It automatically switches to the optimal mode based on different communication needs, significantly improving network speed and connection stability, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.
The Dimensity Auto in-vehicle communication platform MT2739 is designed to meet AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive standards, achieve server-grade safety standards, and provide innovative software development tools, enabling automakers to conduct seamless cross-platform development and system integration.
