Mattel, the maker of Barbie and Hot Wheels toysAnnounce, has signed a multi-year agreement with SpaceX, which will allow Mattel to produce toys based on SpaceX.
According to Mattel, the toys produced in collaboration with SpaceX will be released under the Matchbox brand and are expected to be announced through the Mattel Creations sales platform next year and sold simultaneously to the public.
In the past, Mattel has collaborated with Tesla to launch a remote-controlled car designed based on the electric pickup truck Cybertruck in 2020. One of the cars is a small travel model priced at US$20, and the other is a limited edition model priced at US$400.
The toys produced in collaboration with SpaceX are expected to be collectible toys, but Mattel has not yet announced specific details.
