As the re:Invent 2025 conference kicks off in Las Vegas, AWS, together with MassRobotics and NVIDIA, announced the expansion of the second annual Physical AI Fellowship program to accelerate the scaling of robotics startups.
Three leading AI companies join forces; applications will be opened in stages starting in 2026.
"Physical AI" refers to AI-driven robotic systems that can understand, reason, learn, and interact with the physical world. To accelerate the development of this technology, MassRobotics has announced that it is opening applications for its second Fellowship in 2026.
This 8-week virtual program boasts an impressive lineup, with technical guidance from scientists at AWS's Center for Generative AI Innovation and access to resources from NVIDIA's Inception program. Selected startups will receive:
• Technical Resources:Access AWS's AI stack and NVIDIA's robotics software stack (such as Isaac Sim).
• Expert Mentor:One-on-one guidance from NVIDIA experts.
• Financial support:You can get up to $20 in AWS cloud credit.
The inaugural lineup in 2025 includes Bedrock Robotics, specializing in autonomous construction of heavy equipment; Diligent Robotics, hospital service robots; and Wandercraft, which develops exoskeletons. Sri Elaprolu, Director of the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, stated that this initiative demonstrates our readiness to move from proof-of-concept (PoC) to substantial progress in addressing real-world business challenges such as last-mile delivery or healthcare.
