Maserati, which previously announced its expansion into the electric vehicle market and touted its commitment to continuing its 80-year tradition of designing, developing and manufacturing all its models 100% in Italy, announced that it will partner with marine technology company Vita Power to build an all-electric luxury yacht, the TRIDENTE. This will symbolically extend the brand's electric development strategy from land to water.
Sharing a vision for future mobility, Maserati and Vita Power share an uncompromising commitment to performance and luxury. Vita Power will develop an integrated ecosystem of high-performance powertrains and all-electric yachts, equipped with dedicated offshore fast-charging infrastructure to minimize impact on marine ecosystems.
The entire luxury yacht is made of carbon fiber and was built by Hodgdon Yachts, a shipbuilding company based in Maine, USA with a history of over 200 years specializing in superyachts.
TRIDENTE is a 10.5-meter-wide, zero-emission yacht designed for daily mobility on lakes and oceans. Equipped with a 252kWh battery and 600hp peak output, it boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots. It can be fully charged with DC power in one hour.
TRIDENTE accommodates up to 10 people (including the pilot). The cockpit can be configured for dining or cruising. Passengers can relax and sunbathe on deck, while a bathing area with a shower and swim ladder is nearby for easy rinsing after a swim. The enclosed forward cabin, equipped with a couch and toilet, provides a fully functional yacht space.
