T-Mobile earlier partnered with SpaceX's satellite internet service StarlinkAnnouncement of cooperation, using satellite Internet services to strengthen the current telecommunications blind spots, and then "hinting" that Apple's upcoming iPhone 14 will support connecting to satellite signals for Internet access, Tim Farrar, president of Telecom, Media and Finance Associates, a research company, further revealed that Apple may cooperate with the US satellite communications company Globalstar to create a satellite Internet service suitable for iPhone models.
In February of this year, Globalstar purchased 2 satellites to expand the scale of its satellite Internet services. There were also rumors that it might cooperate with potential customers such as Apple.
Apple earlier announcedThe autumn new product launch event with the theme of "Far out."Afterwards, many people speculated that Apple will add functions such as astronomical photography to the iPhone 14 series, but more people tend to believe that Apple will add satellite networking service functions to the iPhone 14 series.
Tim Farrar believes that Apple's initial collaboration with Globalstar will likely focus on providing free two-way text messaging and existing satellite communication connectivity services, rather than expanding connectivity resources via the mid-band spectrum like T-Mobile's Starlink satellite internet service.
If Apple decides to add satellite networking functionality to the iPhone 14 series, it will obviously encourage more mobile phone operators to join in supporting such services.
