2K Games and Hangar 13 announced the latest game in the Mafia seriesMafia: Homeland Mafia: The Old Country officially launched globally today (8/8), available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). It will lead players into a meticulously recreated early 20th-century Sicily to explore the origins of the rise of the mafia.
The official release trailer was also released simultaneously, giving players a sneak peek at the game’s gangster atmosphere and Sicilian style.
Players will assume the role of Enzo Favara, an indentured laborer who endured a difficult childhood in the sulfur mines. A twist of fate leads him to join the Torrisi crime family, the region's most powerful, seeking power and status amidst a landscape of danger and intrigue.
As Enzo pledges his allegiance, he will face the temptations and costs of power and learn the most important rule of the mafia world: family survives through sacrifice.
Mafia: Hometown continues the series' hallmarks of deep storytelling and atmospheric creation, blending high-stakes stealth action, brutal melee combat, and tense gunplay to capture the authentic and dangerous world of gangster life. Featuring a third-person action-adventure, the game combines detailed visuals, vivid character development, and the series' acclaimed realistic style for a deeply immersive experience.
Nick Baynes, president of Hangar 13, said that in the team's 22 years of development experience in the Mafia series, it has continued to focus on combining the charm of story, characters and scenes, and hopes that the new work will attract both old players of the series and first-time players.
This game is available in two versions: Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition:
• The standard edition is priced at NT$1490 and includes the complete main game.
• The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at NT$1790. In addition to the complete main game, it also includes in-game bonuses such as the "Godfather Pack" and the "Black Cat Pack", including exclusive weapons, costumes, vehicles and amulets, as well as a digital soundtrack and art setting collection.
