After Apple has replaced all Mac models with Apple Silicon processors, Apple announced the newmacOS 26 TahoeAdjustments have been made to the corresponding Mac models used, and this will become the last version of the macOS operating system that supports installation and upgrades on Mac models with Intel processor specifications.

Calling on developers to migrate more apps to the Apple Silicon processor specification environment
Currently, Intel processor-based Mac models using macOS 26 Tahoe are still supported, including the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, the 2020 4-inch MacBook Pro with four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the 13 2020-inch iMac and 27 Mac Pro, and will continue to receive security updates for three years.
As for the corresponding functions, the above-mentioned Intel processor-based Mac models can still use the new version of Spotlight function and Continuity function.
However, as the market develops, Apple expects that most users will gradually switch to Mac models with Apple Silicon processor specifications. Therefore, it calls on developers to migrate more App application services to the Apple Silicon processor specification environment.
Some Rosetta 2 conversion tool functions will still be retained
At the same time, Apple expects to continue providing the Rosetta 2 conversion tool previously provided for the Apple Silicon processor in the two major macOS operating system versions up to macOS 27, so that existing Intel processor-related apps that have not yet been migrated to the Apple Silicon processor environment can still be used normally.
After this, Apple will still provide some Rosetta 2 conversion tool functions, but it will mainly be reserved for the execution requirements of several games that originally relied on the Intel processor architecture framework to operate. Therefore, it still calls on developers to convert the apps that originally corresponded to Intel processors as soon as possible.
