In the past, makeup and hair styling products were often announced during CES.L'Oréal (L'Oréal) announced during CES 2024 that it will cooperate with Zuvi Technology to create a new generation of hair dryer AirLight Pro. Through the combination of infrared light and wind power, the hair can be dried quickly through optimized heat flow, making the hair more moisturized and smooth, and it is also claimed to reduce energy loss.
The AirLight Pro, developed in collaboration with Ruyuan Technology, is suitable for all hair types. L'Oréal's understanding of the scalp follicles and hair fiber structure of different hair types allows this hair dryer, designed for professional hair stylists, to use Ruyuan Technology's LightCare technology, using infrared light and high air volume to effectively dry the moisture on the hair surface while keeping the hair moisturized inside.
Compared to traditional hair dryer designs, AirLight Pro generates high air volume through 17 fan blades and a special high-speed motor, and uses tungsten-halogen bulbs to generate infrared light, allowing the hair to quickly remove surface moisture without overheating. It has also been tested on 500 consumers with different hair styles to ensure that AirLight Pro can meet the blowing needs of different hair styles.
By combining the settings in the app, AirLight Pro can customize the blowing function according to different personal needs.
Barbara Lavernos, L'Oréal's Vice President of Research, Innovation, and Technology, stated that the AirLight Pro has applied for over 150 patents, emphasizing that it not only protects hair while styling, but also contributes to environmental sustainability. According to L'Oréal, the AirLight Pro can increase hair's internal moisture by up to 33% and make it 59% smoother, while also reducing energy consumption by shortening blow-drying time.
